I am, and always have been, an outsider. In fashion, just as in life, I am not afraid of extravagance. I love old objects, vintage collections. They have soul, so they don't go out with the next passing fashion. They don't have to be perfect. Every patch is like a wrinkle on the forehead of someone who's led a full life - it has its story.

Perfect finish. The natural beauty of wood emphasised by the raw colours and manually planing the edges of the board. The superficial simplicity is broken up by the processes imitating repair work – corking of previously removed surface fragments and filled in knots. This is a floorboard which could have been found in the home of a noble craftsman in Albrecht Durer's day. Surface with extra protection by natural oil.
